Job Description: 

Daubert Chemical is currently seeking an Account Executive to manage its sales territory for the states of Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky. Account Executives for Daubert Chemical Company serve as the conduit between customers and the organization at large, maintaining and profitably growing sales revenues in the assigned geographic territory and/or target market(s). The ideal candidate will have a technical aptitude and understanding of how our products can successfully meet customer and prospect needs.

Daubert Chemical is currently seeking an Account Executive to manage its sales territory for the states of Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky.   Account Executives for Daubert Chemical Company serve as the conduit between customers and the organization at large, maintaining and profitably growing sales revenues in the assigned geographic territory and/or target market(s).  The ideal candidate will have a technical aptitude and understanding of how our products can successfully meet customer and prospect needs.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

-Effectively maintain existing customer base within managed territory (including the providing of technical support) while simultaneously profitably growing sales base under management. 

-Cultivate profitable sales growth through effective identification, qualification and sales to high impact prospects.

-Through mastery of company product line, effectively present company product capabilities, and through interactions with key influencers and decision-makers, advance customer interests and evaluation of products into their processing systems and end products / applications.

-Exercise good judgment in working with management in prioritizing customer opportunities in terms of degree of validity and viability, financial impact potential and strategic relatedness to overall business.

-On ongoing basis, communicate and interface with Laboratory to ensure ongoing R & D activities are properly directed towards achieving customer desired objectives in their applications and processing systems.

-Extract relevant market intelligence related to competitive and customer activities – interpreting and identifying associated opportunities and business risks to be considered and acted upon. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

-Minimum of 5 years of experience in selling industrial chemicals primarily in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky.  Sales of adhesives and/or rust preventatives, coatings, lubricants / greases is a plus.

-Industry-specific experience in the cultivation, management and ongoing development of long term strategic sales relationships with major Fortune 500 customers a must – with specific experience in the automotive, woodworking, transportation industries preferred.

-Other desired attributes include:

A self-starter with the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
Strong technical background and understanding of customer processes.
Excellent interpersonal skills to support the liaison role between customers and cross functional home office personnel.
Problem solving mentality with a high degree of inquisitiveness, aimed at ensuring the correct customer product solution to win new business
Overnight travel at or above 50% as needed.
