Daubert Chemical Company at the IWF 2008 Show in Atlanta
In August, Daubert Chemical Company exhibited in the International Woodworking Machinery & Furniture Supply Fair (IWP Show) at the Atlanta World Congress Center. The show, which was held from August 20-23, 2008, is one of the world's largest trade shows for the Furniture Industry.
New this year in the Daubert booth was the unveiling of "Splinter", a high-performance, mid-engined supercar built from wood composites.
Wood has been used where ever possible, including the chassis, body, and large percentages of the suspension components and wheels. The car has a target weight of 2500lbs and a power goal of over 600 horsepower.
This project is a scholastic endeavour by Joe Harmon, a graduate student at North Carolina State University. The IWF Show has a total attendance of over 48,000 people to see 1,400 exhibiting companies in 900,000 square feet of exhibition space. It's a great opportunity for the folks here in the Adhesives Group to meet face to face with new and existing customers.
